This will be a very short post on a trip to Richmond Park last week. It was a fairly, unusually warm day so decided to head to Richmond Park to see if I could capture anything interesting. Most the day was spent walking around and exploring the park to see what I could find, I was hopeful of spotting one of the elusive Little Owls that live here but unfortunately it didn’t pan out! I saw 6 million parakeets and a number of kestrels too.

I managed to get some of photos of the Jackdaw interacting with the Deer and stealing their fur for the upcoming nesting season. I also managed to photograph two fairly young males having a practice rut outside of the rutting season amongst the ferns and bracken.

All in all it was good days photography and something a bit different as I don’t tend to visit Richmond or Bushy Park too much in the winter but I think the orange tones really stand out in the pictures so I’m glad I did!
